SECURITY
In furtherance of the objective outlined at the outset of this Privacy Statement Olrik Denmark will take all reasonable steps to store your personal information securely. In particular, Olrik Denmark want you to feel confident in dealing with us on the world wide web. For many of our customers, we realise this can be an unfamiliar way of buying products. We therefore wish to assure our customers that only specific employees or sub-contractors in our customer service, marketing, store, warehouse systems and information technology areas have access to our customers' personal information, and then only under strict controls and procedures including, where necessary, confidentiality agreements.

The Olrik Denmark website uses a process called "Secure Sockets Layer" ("SSL") and in doing so we use industry standard 128 bit encryption.

SSL is a security device which locks all critical and sensitive information passed from you to us, such as payment information into an encrypted environment, making it extremely difficult for this information to be intercepted and creating a secure platform on which you can conduct your online transactions provided you are using an SSL compliant browser (e.g. Netscape Navigator 3 or Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 3 and above).

Olrik Denmark does not permanently store your credit card details on our transactional system. Your card number is stored temporarily until the order process has been finalised, after which time it is deleted from our system.This is why your credit card number must be entered by you each time you select online credit card payment for each new order. Your credit card details are held securely on our accounting systems for reconciliation purposes.

When you interact with us by means of our website, our system will automatically send you a "cookie". A cookie is a small amount of information sent from a web server to your computer, enabling your computer to be recognised as a unique user upon future visits so that you may, for example, see what pages you have previously visited and take less steps to arrive at your destination when subsequently re-using our online service. Cookies also allow programmes running on the web server to keep track of your order data and any of your preferred options such as currency conversion rates.

Olrik Denmark creates a cookie that recognises you as the same visitor to the website but although they uniquely identify you to the web server, they do not personally identify you. Cookies do not allow us to determine your name or email address by reason of them being placed on your computer.
